Municipality of Lelystad: paying the sewage charge

Please note: you only have to pay  rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between the number of users of the property if the property is used as an house  and a high-volume user if the property is not used as an house. The owner of the property which is not  used as a house pays a percentage of the WOZ value of the property as a sewagescharge. Therefore 2 sewage rates apply.

The following rates apply:

If the property is a house you pay as an user of the house;

  • Eenpersoonshuishouden: € 145,76
  • Tweepersoonshuishouden: € 206,21
  • Driepersoonshuishouden: € 254,81
  • Vierpersoonshuishouden en meer: € 349,42

If the property is not a house, you pay as an owner

Rioolheffing niet-woning eigenaren: 0,0918%
