Municipality of Landgraaf: paying the sewage charge

Please note: you only have to pay  rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

BsGW provides this product on behalf of the municipality of Landgraaf.

In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between a user and an owner of the property. The sewage charge therefore consists of an owner component and a user component. Within the user component there is a distinction according to the amount of water you use.

Payment

You will receive a letter from BsGW (municipal and waterboard taxation collaboration) stating the amount of the sewage charge. The letter will state how and when you must pay.

Paying on time

Pay on time to avoid having to pay extra charges.

Exemption

You can ask BsGW whether you are entitled to an exemption in respect of (part of) the charge. That is referred to as kwijtschelding.

Do you disagree with the sewage charge? You can object via BsGW.
