Municipality of Krimpenerwaard: paying the sewage charge
Is your building connected to the municipal sewer system? Then you must pay sewage charges. You will receive an assessment from the municipality for this.
The SVHW (Samenwerkingsverband Vastgoedinformatie Heffing en Waardebepaling) will send you an assessment notice for the sewage charge. The situation on 1 January of the tax year determines whether you receive the assessment for that year. If you move to another municipality after 1 January, the SVHW will automatically reduce the sewage charge assessment for the remaining months.
You can find the costs of the sewerage charge on the website of the municipality. The SVHW indicates on the municipal assessment notice within which period and in what way you must pay.
Do you disagree with the sewage charge? You can object within 6 weeks of the date of the assessment notice by submitting a notice of objection to the SVHW.
