Municipality of Horst aan de Maas: paying the sewage charge

Please note: you only have to pay  rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between the owner of the property and a high-volume user. Users who use more than 301 cubic metres of water on an annual basis pay a user component. Therefore 2 sewage rates apply.

The following rates apply:

  • Owner component: € 280
  • High-volume user component:
    • wateruse 0 - 500 m3: € 0
    • wateruse 500 - 999 m3: € 280
    • wateruse 1.000 - 1.999 m3: € 560
    • wateruse 2.000 - 2.999 m3: € 840
    • wateruse 3.000 - 3.999 m3: € 1.120
    • wateruse 4.000 - 4.999 m3: € 1.400
    • wateruse 5.000 - 9.999 m3: € 2.800
    • wateruse 10.000 - 49.999 m3: € 8.400
    • wateruse starting at 50.000 m3: € 16.800
