Municipality of Heeze-Leende: paying the sewage charge

Please note: you only have to pay rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

The following rates apply:

1. 1 to 99 m3 € 252.60 per year (tariff for water consumption of less than 100 m3 per year

2. 100 to 500 m3 € 336.00 (tariff for water consumption of 100 m3 to 500 m3 per year)

> 500 m3 (If more than 500 m3 is disposed of in a tax period, a duty of € 336 per year of the tax period shall be payable in addition to the amount payable pursuant to point 2, for each quantity of 500 m3 or part thereof by which the quantity of 500 m3 is exceeded.

Payment

By letter

The sewerage charge is collected via Brabant Water's advance bill. You pay part of the sewerage charge assessment monthly or quarterly via this advance bill. Once a year, you will receive an annual statement from Brabant Water on which the advances you have paid are settled.

Paying on time

Pay on time to avoid having to pay extra charges.

Exemption

You can ask the municipality whether you are entitled to an exemption in respect of (part of) the charge. That is referred to as kwijtschelding. More info: (in Dutch) https://www.heeze-leende.nl/riool-en-waterzorgheffing
