Municipality of Gouda: paying the sewage charge
Please note: you only have to pay rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between a user and an owner of the property. The sewage charge therefore consists of an owner component and a user component. Therefore 2 rates apply. The Belastingsamenwerking Gouwe-Rijnland (BSGR) handles the sewage charge in name of the municipality of Gouda.
For information about the costs of the sewage charge, please call the BSGR at phone number +31 71 525 62 00.
Payment
You will receive a letter from the BSGR stating the amount of the sewage charge. The letter will state how and by what date you must pay.
Paying on time
Pay on time to avoid having to pay extra charges.
Exemption
You can ask the BSGR whether you are entitled to an exemption in respect of (part of) the charge. That is referred to as kwijtschelding. For information, please call the BSGR at phone number +31 71 525 62 00.
