Municipality of Gennep: paying the sewage charge
In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between a user and an owner of the property. The owner pays a fixed rate per parcel. The user pays a rate based on the amount of water used per year.
Payment
You will receive a letter from Belastingsamenwerking Gemeenten en Waterschappen (BsGW) stating the amount of the sewage charge. The letter will state how and by what date you must pay.
Paying on time
Pay on time to avoid having to pay extra charges.
Exemption
You can ask BsGW whether you are entitled to an exemption in respect of (part of) the charge. That is referred to as kwijtschelding. This is only possible for the sewage charge for users.
