Municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk: paying the sewage charge
Please note: you only have to pay rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between a user and an owner of the property. The sewage charge therefore consists of an owner component and a user component. For the owner's part, a distinction has been made as to whether domestic wastewater or only rainwater is discharged. The user share depends on the amount of drinking water consumption. Therefore 3 types of rates apply.
You will automatically receive the assessment for the user part of the sewage charge if you are registered with the municipality (BRP) or the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) as the user of a home or business premises. The assessment for the owner's share of the sewage charge will be sent automatically if you are registered with the Land Registry (Kadaster) as the owner of a home or business premises (registration date 1 January).
You can find the rates via: Tarieven gemeente Bodegraven-Reeuwijk 2022 - BSGR
