Municipality of Vlissingen: paying parking tax

Permit holder zone

Except for the paid parking lots, the (broad) city center is designated as a permit holder zone.

• Permit holder parking applies all year round and 24 hours a day;
• Without a valid parking permit, you may not park there.

Camper places

Vlissingen has no camper places. So you may not stay overnight in a camper anywhere in Vlissingen.

Tourist buses

Coaches can park for free in the city center on Commandoweg and Spuikomweg.

• At Commandoweg, you can use the turning loop at the end of Piet Heijnkade;
• On Spuikomweg, behind the water tower, there are 2 old bus stops suitable for parking coaches.

Fine

If you have not paid for parking, you will receive a parking tax assessment. This is called a parking ticket. You will receive this parking ticket from the municipality.

You can submit objections to the parking fine in writing within 6 weeks of the date of the letter to Samenwerking belastingen Middelburg-Vlissingen, P.O. Box 6000, 4330 LA Middelburg.  
In the objection, you must state the details of the parking fine and the reason for your objection.
