Municipality of Pekela: notifying the municipality when you move home

Please note: you can notify the municipality when you move house only if you live in the Netherlands and are already registered with a municipality.

Who reports the change of address?

  • You, if you are 16 years or older.
  • The parents, guardian, or carers of children under 16 years.
  • The parents, guardian, or carers of minors aged 16 and 17 who live at home, unless they report it themselves.
  • The legal guardian of a person under guardianship.
  • An adult child for parent(s) who live at the same address.
  • Parent(s) for an adult child who lives at the same address.
  • Spouses and registered partners who share the same address.
  • Any adult who has written permission from the applicant.

You report your move to the municipality where you will live. You can do this online, and you need DigiD for this:

If you cannot report your move online, please contact the municipality by phone to make an appointment: 0597 617555

It is free to notify a move.

You can report your move from 4 weeks before the moving date until 5 days after.

If you do it later, your move will be registered on the day you report it.

Please note: You may get a fine if you report your move too late.
