Municipality of Heemskerk: notifying the municipality when you move home

Please note: you can notify the municipality when you move house only if you live in the Netherlands and are already registered with a municipality.

Providing notification of your move

Log in using your DigiD and provide notification of your move online. 

At the service desk

You can also make an appointment to provide notification of your move at your municpality’s service desk.

Who may report a move

  • Yourself if you are 16 years of age or older.
  • The parents, guardians or caregivers of minors under 16 years of age.
  • The parents, guardian or caregivers of resident minors aged 16 and 17.
  • The guardian of the person under guardianship.
  • An adult child for parent(s) with the same residential address.
  • Parent(s) for an adult child with the same residential address.
  • Spouses and registered partners who have the same residential address.
  • Any adult authorized in writing by the applicant (only in case of residence in a correctional institution or for health reasons). The date of receipt of your declaration is the date of your move unless the specified move date is in the future. Your move is automatically transmitted to other government agencies.
