Municipality of Vlissingen: applying for a Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG)

A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a statement indicating that your behavior, or that of an employee, in the past does not pose an objection to performing a specific task or function in society.

  • You apply for a VOG at the municipality of Vlissingen.
    If you cannot come to the municipality yourself, someone else may apply for the VOG on your behalf. You must authorize this person for this purpose.
  • It is only possible to apply for a VOG digitally if the application has been prepared digitally by the organization that requires the VOG from you.

  • The fully completed application form;
  • A valid form of identification;
  • It is only possible to apply for a VOG digitally if the application has been prepared digitally by the organization that requires the VOG from you.

If you yourself cannot go to the municipality, someone else may apply for the VOG on your behalf. You must authorize this person for this.

You apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) through the municipality by submitting the fully completed application form to the Public Affairs department of the municipality where you are registered in the Personal Records Database (BRP). You receive this form from the person who asks you to provide a VOG. Usually, that is the (future) employer.
