Municipality of Oosterhout: applying for a Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG)
Please note: you can apply for a Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag – VOG (certificate of conduct) only if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality
You can apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) in two ways: online via Justis or in writing through your municipality.
Online Application
To apply for a VOG online:
- The organization requesting the VOG will initiate the application online for you. If the organization is unable to do so, you must apply in writing.
- You will receive an email containing a link to the Justis website.
- Click the link and log in using your DigiD.
- Verify your personal details.
- Choose whether you want to receive the VOG as a paper document or digitally via your Message Box on MijnOverheid.nl.
- Pay for the VOG online using iDEAL.
Written Application
To apply for a VOG in writing:
- Request an application form from the organization requiring the VOG.
- Complete the form.
- Make an appointment with the municipality where you are registered.
- Attend the appointment and bring:
- the completed application form
- a valid form of identification
- Pay for the VOG during the appointment.
- The municipality will forward your application to Justis.
- You will receive the VOG by post.
You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality.
You will receive the VOG or the refusal within 4 weeks at the address you specify in the application.
