Municipality of Maastricht: applying for a Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG)
Please note: you can only apply for a Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (certificate of conduct, VOG) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality
Print the application form from Justis, the Ministry of Justice and Security’s screening authority and fill it in together with your employer. Hand in the form at the municipality where you are registered. Make an appointment first. You must also take valid proof of identity with you, such as your passport or driving licence.
2024 rates
- €33.85 for an online application through your employer (eHerkenning).
- €41.35 when applying via the municipality
In some cases, the VOG is free of charge. You can find more information on the gratisvog.nl website (in Dutch).
You will receive either the VOG certificate or a notice of refusal within 4 weeks at the address specified in the application.
