Municipality of Oosterhout: applying for support by your municipality for reintegration into the labour market

Please note: you can only apply for support to reintegrate into the labour market  if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

European Social Fund Plus (ESF+)

The municipality of Oosterhout works every day to create a labor market where everyone has equal opportunities. Our case managers help with this. They support residents who have difficulty finding work and assist them with participation, reintegration, and finding a suitable job.

What we do:

  • Intake and diagnosis
  • Connecting with employers
  • (Trial) placement, internship, or work placement
  • Guidance from a job coach
  • Stimulating personal growth
  • On-the-job support
  • Support for problems\

European Social Fund (ESF+) 2021-2027

To better help residents find work and financial security, we use the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021-2027 grant, funded by the European Union. With this subsidy, we help:

Young people up to 28 years old
Residents receiving benefits
Residents with employment barriers
Status holders
Residents not receiving benefits
Thanks to this support, we reduce the distance to the labor market and strengthen the financial self-reliance of our residents.

If you receive benefits, you also have obligations. For example, you must do everything you can to get back to work.

For example:

  • Try to find paid work. You must look for vacancies, apply for jobs and be registered with 1 or more employment agencies.
  • Look for work not only in the area where you live, but also in the surrounding areas  or beyond. What happens if you find or are offered work? Then you must accept that work.
  • Be prepared to travel for work.
  • Cooperate with the municipality to create and implement a plan for your reintegration.
  • Actively update or improve your knowledge and skills.

Contact your municipality for help and information.

Sometimes you have to pay expenses yourself forst. Please keep the receipts, as you have to be able to show them before you can get your money back.
