Municipality of Olst-Wijhe: applying for study benefit for students with a disability

The conditions for applying for a study benedfit are:

• You have a structural disability that hinders your ability to work alongside your studies.
• You receive student finance or a contribution from the Education Contribution and School Expenses Allowance Act (WTOS).
• You are not entitled to a benefit under the Wajong Act.

Note: We may ask an independent expert to assess whether there is a structural medical disability.

Arrangement in writing
Send us the following information:

• A fully completed and signed application form for financial allowances;
• Copy of your valid ID;
• Evidence that you receive a student grant or WTOS contribution;
• Medical statement showing that there is a structural limitation that forms an obstacle to being able to work alongside your studies.

If you do not have a medical statement, we can ask an independent expert to assess whether there is a structural medical disability.

Arrange at the counter
You can also apply for a study benefit at the Public Affairs desks in the town hall in Wijhe or in the Holstohus in Olst. Don't forget to bring the supporting documents.

We usually process an application for a study benefit within 4 weeks. The legal term is 8 weeks.

You can object to the decision on your application. Do this within 6 weeks. Do you then disagree with the decision on the notice of objection? Then file an appeal with the court.
