Municipality of Midden-Drenthe: applying for study benefit for students with a disability

Please note: you can apply for a studietoeslag (study benefit) only if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

The following conditions apply:

  • You are registered with the municipality of Midden-Drenthe.
  • You will not receive a Wajong benefit.
  • You will receive Student Finance (WSF) or a contribution under the Education Contribution and School Costs Allowance Act (WTOS).
  • Due to an illness or disability, you are structurally unable to earn income in addition to your studies. You can demonstrate this by means of a recent medical report from a recognized medical examiner. This shows that you have limited capacity due to your disability. The report may not be older than 2 years. Don't have this report? The municipality will then assess whether you belong to the target group based on the wage cost subsidy regulation. You cooperate with any investigation that may be necessary.

Amounts

The amount of the study benefit depends on your age. The statutory amounts per month are:

  • 21 years and older: € 334,34
  • 20 years old: € 267,47
  • 19 years old: € 200,60
  • 18 years old: € 167,17
  • 17 years old: € 132,06
  • 16 years old: € 115,34
  • 15 years old: € 100,30

Please contact us by calling (0)593 53 92 22 if you want to apply.
