Municipality of Elburg: applying for study benefit for students with a disability

Please note: you can apply for a studietoeslag (study benefit) only if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

The individual study allowance is for pupils or students aged 15 or older who cannot earn extra money to pay their study costs due to a structural medical disability. With this study grant, we encourage students to obtain a diploma and thus increase their chances of finding a job.

The following conditions apply:

  • You are 15 years or older and live in the municipality of Elburg.
  • You are entitled to a student grant or student grant from the Education Executive Agency (DUO)
  • It has been determined that you cannot work alongside your studies due to a structural medical handicap. You can prove this in two ways:
    > A declaration of inclusion in the target group register (UWV).
    > Statement from an expert about your limitations showing that you are unable to work due to a structural medical limitation.
  • Do you not have a situation description from an expert, but do you think you are eligible for a study grant? Please submit an application. We request a medical examination from an external expert. Depending on the advice, the study grant may be awarded to you.
