Municipality of Vlissingen: applying for a second passport
Under certain conditions, you may be eligible for a second passport in addition to your current one. This could be the case if your passport is at a foreign consulate for a visa application and you can show that you need to travel again in the meantime. You could then travel with the second passport.
- A second passport is valid for 2 years.
- Being registered in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP) of the municipality of Vlissingen;
- Possessing a valid Dutch passport or business passport, which is still valid for at least 6 months;
- Being able to demonstrate the necessity of a 2nd passport. For information, see the Dutch government's website for Identity details.
- You must always be present in person;
- All travel documents you have (including foreign ones), even if they are expired;
- Various pieces of evidence, see the Dutch government's website for Identity details.
- A color passport photo, not older than 6 months. There are strict requirements for this, so make sure to read them carefully on the Dutch government website;
- In case of a lost previous passport: you must file a loss declaration at your municipality;
- You can pay for the passport in cash or by card during the application.
The applicant makes an appointment at the town hall in Vlissingen and must always be present in person.
Urgent application
- Do you need your passport quickly? Then you can submit an urgent application. If you apply for the passport before 2 PM, you can usually pick it up the next working day;
- Are you leaving today? Then contact the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee for an emergency document. For more information, see the Ministry of Defence website.
You pay a fee for this service. See Zakenpaspoort of 2e paspoort | Gemeente Vlissingen for more information.
