Municipality of Oudewater: applying for a second passport
Please note: you can only apply for a second passport if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
To apply for a second passport, you must meet the following conditions:
- You are a Dutch citizen and you are registered with the Oudewater municipality.
- Your first passport is valid for at least another 6 months.
- You can demonstrate that you need the second passport. Ask your municipality, embassy or consulate which proof you need to show.
- Any travel documents you have (for example, an expired passport or a valid ID card).
- A passport photo that meets all photo requirements.
- A completed consent form and your child. Please note: this only applies if you are applying for a second passport for your child and your child is a minor (younger than 18 years of age).
- Documents that prove that you often travel to countries in conflict or countries that require a visa.

Urgent request
If you submit an urgent application before 3 p.m., you can usually pick up your second passport after 11 a.m. the following day. Please note: this cannot be guaranteed.

- You can collect your passport from the municipality after 6 working days.
- You must make an appointment for this.
- You have 3 months to collect your passport.
- A second passport is valid for 2 years.
