Municipality of Goes: applying for a second passport
Please note: you can only apply for a second passport if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
To apply for a second passport, you must meet the following conditions:
- You are a Dutch citizen.
- Your first passport is valid for at least another 6 months.
- You can demonstrate that you need the second passport.
- You are travelling to a country that you cannot enter using a Dutch identity card.
There are two ways to apply for a passport:
Apply online
Log in using your DigiD and pay for your passport directly online. You will then need to make an appointment to finalise your application at the City Office.
Apply at the counter
Complete your application entirely at the City Office. You make an appointment to complete the entire application with us at the counter at the City Office. You also pay at the counter.
Urgent application
Do you need a passport urgently? Call 14 0113 to make an appointment. If you make an urgent application, you cannot start and pay for the application online. This is because we want to help you as quickly as possible and cannot waste any time. An urgent application involves additional costs.
Do you need your document sooner? You may be eligible for an emergency passport from the Koninklijke Marechaussee (Royal Netherlands Military Police). More information can be found on the Defensie website.
- A second adult passport costs: €75,80.
- An urgent application for a second passport costs: €51,60.
Your passport will be ready for collection from the municipality after 6 working days. You have 3 months in which to collect your new passport.
A second passport is valid for 2 years.
