Municipality of Dronten: applying for a second passport

To apply for a second passport, you must meet the following conditions:

• You are a Dutch citizen.
• Your first passport is valid for at least another 6 months.
• You can demonstrate that you need the second passport.
• You are travelling to a country that you cannot enter using a Dutch identity card.

All passports and identity cards you still have, even if they have expired;

Your first passport, valid for at least six months;

One color passport photo, no older than six months, that meets the passport photo requirements. You can have a passport photo taken at one of the local businesses in the city center;

Your debit card or cash. You pay immediately upon application.

A letter from your employer stating the purpose of your trip;

Or a document proving that you have submitted a visa application while simultaneously traveling to another destination;

Your travel history must demonstrate whether you are eligible for a second passport.

Your passport will be ready for collection from the municipality after 6 working days. You have 3 months in which to collect your new passport.

A second passport is valid for 2 years.
