Municipality of Arnhem: applying for a second passport
You can apply for a second passport in addition to your current Dutch passport. You apply for a second passport in the same way as a Dutch passport.
Your first passport may have stamps from countries that are in conflict with those you need to visit. This may cause problems when entering those countries. A second passport can then be a solution.
A second passport may also be needed if you regularly travel to countries where a visa is required. For example, if your passport is already at an embassy for visa applications. You can then use the second passport to apply for a visa to another country.
- Your first passport is still valid for at least 6 months.
- You must prove that you:
- need the second passport for business or personal reasons.
- travel to countries in conflict . Such as proof from your employer, tickets or visas.
You apply for a second passport in the same way as a Dutch passport. Please indicate that you want a second passport during your appointment at the counter.
You pay for your second passport directly at the time of your application.
