Municipality of Zwolle: applying for a personalised disabled parking space
Do you have a parking card for people with disabilities? And are there few parking spaces close to your home or work? Then you may be able to get a reserved disabled parking space.
Please note: You can only apply for a parking space for the disabled if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
To apply for a (reserved) parking space for people with disabilities, you need a copy of your parking card. You must submit this together with the application.
Requesting or changing a reserved parking space for disabled people can be done in various ways:
- as an individual (person) online with DigiD
- as a company online with eHerkenning
- by making an appointment at the City Office
The construction of a reserved disabled parking space costs € 133.40. Adjusting a license plate costs € 21.80 and moving the pole and the sign to another address within Zwolle costs € 47.20.
You will usually receive a letter within 2 weeks of applying stating whether or not you will be given the parking space. If an advisory opinion is needed, for example from the Gemeentelijke Gezondheidsdienst – GGD (Municipal Health Service) or the traffic police, you will receive a response within 8 weeks of applying.
Placing the parking space
If you are entitled to a parking space for the disabled, the municipality will contact you by telephone to determine the location in consultation with you. The municipality will place the parking space within 2 weeks.
