Municipality of Vlissingen: applying for a personalised disabled parking space

You are eligible for a disability parking space registered to your license plate if, due to your physical problems, you have difficulty with the distance from your car to your home.

Traffic decision

Before the municipality creates a parking space for people with disabilities, it informs potential stakeholders in the neighborhood. For a disability parking space, a traffic decision must be taken, with the possibility to file objections and appeals. This is regulated in the General Administrative Law Act. If no objections are filed, the municipality will create the parking space as soon as possible.

Note. you can only apply for a parking space for the disabled by registration number if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

You are only eligible if you have a disabled parking card of the type 'Driver';
You must be the owner of a vehicle;
If you have a garage or parking facility, you are not eligible for a disabled parking space.

A copy (front and back) of your national Disabled Parking Card, type 'Driver';
A sketch of the desired location;
A copy of the vehicle registration.
