Municipality of Smallingerland: applying for a personalised disabled parking space

Request a handicapped parking space if you do not have a parking space at your place of residence and are unable to walk 100 meters unaided. You must first request a handicapped parking permit before you can be considered for a handicapped parking space.

You have a handicapped parking permit that is valid for at least another 6 months.
You must own a car and the permit must be held in your name or that of your house-mate.
You do not have your own parking space next to your place of residence, such as a garage or driveway.
There is no public parking space available directly next to your place of residence.

Applying for a parking space

You will need to pay the costs of creating a handicapped parking space. A guideline price for this is EUR 370. After requesting a handicapped parking space allocated to your numberplate, you will receive a sketch-map of a location and a price. The costs of construction are one-time.
