Municipality of Nijmegen: applying for a personalised disabled parking space

Please note: you can only apply for a parking space for the disabled by registration number if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

In addition to the conditions already mentioned:

There are not enough free parking spaces or general disabled parking spaces in the vicinity of your home or work.

  • your passport, identity card or driver's licence;
  • driver's card for people with disability;
  • registration of your car, in Dutch 'kentekenbewijs 1B';
  • debit card or cash.

You can also give someone permission to come to the appointment for you. This person must then bring the following items to the appointment:

  • your passport, identity card or driver's licence (or copy thereof);
  • his passport, identity card or driver's licence;
  • registration of your car, in Dutch 'kentekenbewijs 1B';
  • debit card or cash;
  • a note stating that you give the person permission for the application. Write the date and your signature on the note.

Applying for a personalised disabled parking space

Book an appointment at the municipality’s service desk by calling + 31 24 329 90 00.

Notifying a change of your licence plate

Are you buying a new car? Call +31 24 329 90 00 to inform us of your new licence plate number.

  • Your application will cost € 111,55. These are the costs for, among other things, a parking pressure study.
  • The placement of the disabled parking space costs € 159,13.

It takes 8 weeks from the application to the construction of the parking space.
