Municipality of Helmond: applying for a personalised disabled parking space

You can apply for a disabled parking space if:

• You are registered at the address for which the application is made
• The vehicle is in your name or your partner's name (the vehicle is owned or leased)
• You drive the vehicle yourself
• You do not have your own parking space (e.g. a driveway or garage)
• You are in possession of a disabled driver's parking card (GPK-B). This card must still be valid for at least 6 months. Under the heading 'related products' you can find how to apply for a disabled parking card
• You are in possession of a parking permit, if you live in a parking area for permit holders
• The parking pressure in the vicinity of the home is so great that you regularly have to park the car more than 100 metres from the home
• You do not have a parking space belonging to your home or you have no possibility to rent or buy a parking space belonging to your home.

Please note: are you moving house? Then your disabled parking space will expire. If you want to use a disabled parking space at your new address, you need to submit a new application. You may not be allocated a disabled parking space at your new address.

Change

Moving house

The cost of the disabled parking space is €219. This is for constructing a disabled registered parking space, including the resulting costs. And for moving an existing disabled parking space by license plate to a new location.

If you wish to link a different number plate to the disabled parking space, there will be an additional charge of €52.00 to replace the under-sign.

We will process your application if you meet the listed conditions.

The municipality will decide within 8 weeks of receiving your application. The municipality may extend this period once.

You can object to the decision on your application. Do this within 6 weeks. Do you then disagree with the decision on the objection? Then file an appeal with the court.
