Municipality of Amsterdam: applying for a personalised disabled parking space

Please note: you can only apply for a parking space for the disabled by registration number if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

Applying online

Log in with your DigiD in Dutch

Applying by post

  • Download the application form.
  • Fill in the form. Attach the requested documents.
  • Send the form with the documents to the district where you live. The addresses are on the application form.

  • Your application will cost € 29.30
  • Any medical examination required will cost € 165.70 . You must pay those fees even if you are not given the parking space.
  • The placement of the disabled parking space costs € 394.50

In 2025

  • Your application will cost € 30.30
  • Any medical examination required will cost € 171.20 . You must pay those fees even if you are not given the parking space.
  • The placement of the disabled parking space costs € 407.50

You will usually receive a letter within 2 weeks of applying stating whether or not you will be given the parking space. If an advisory opinion is needed, for example from the Gemeentelijke Gezondheidsdienst – GGD (Municipal Health Service) or the traffic police, you will receive a response within 8 weeks of applying.

Placing the parking space

If you are entitled to a parking space for the disabled, the municipality will contact you by telephone to determine the location in consultation with you. The municipality will place the parking space within 2 weeks.
