Municipality of Oosterhout: applying for a parking permit

To apply for a parking permit, you must meet the following conditions:

  • The applicant must be registered in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP) at an address located in the paid parking/permit zone.
  • The address must be a separate dwelling with its own house number.
  • The vehicle must be registered in the applicant's name. Leased car users must provide a statement from the leasing company.
  • A maximum of two parking permits will be issued per address/household.
  • A maximum of three license plates may be registered per parking permit. The parking permit is valid for only one license plate at a time.
Parking is only permitted in the zone specified on the permit.

What are the exceptions?

A maximum of two parking permits will be issued per address/household. Exceptions include:

  • natural persons or legal entities practicing a profession or business located at a residential address. The number of resident permits issued at that address will be deducted from the number of business permits issued.
  • households living or planning to live at an address for which a building permit was issued after January 1, 2021. In that case, only one resident permit will be issued.
  • Households living or planning to live at an address listed on the Location-Based Parking Agreements list (pdf, 94.1 KB). Restrictions on the issuance of parking permits apply to addresses on this list.

The vehicle size must be indicated when applying for a permit. Vehicles longer than 6 meters and higher than 2.4 meters are not eligible for a parking permit.

You can apply for a resident's parking permit (resident's permit) digitally from the moment the municipality registers you at your new address. Until then, you can apply for a moving permit for things like DIY and moving.

You can log in using your DigiD via the Oosterhout municipality's e-counter. In the main menu of the e-counter, you can apply for a resident's parking permit (resident's permit) under "Requestable Products."

If you are unable to log in or have difficulty logging in, you can also visit the information desk (reception) at City Hall. They will check and pay with you. Please note: you can only pay with your debit card. Coins and/or banknotes are not accepted at the counter.

If you do not have a smartphone or PC, you can contact the public counter, where they can discuss an alternative.

Tarieven 2025

  • First resident permit: € 5,00/ month en € 60,00/year
  • Second resident permit: € 10,90/ month en € 130,80/ year
  • Move (1 month): € 10,35

It is not possible to obtain a parking permit for some areas. This may be the case, for example, in areas in which there is a (future) new construction project or which are being developed. In some cases, however, you can apply for an exemption for a certain zone.
