Municipality of Helmond: applying for a parking permit
Do you live or have a business in an area with paid parking and do not have your own parking? Then you may be able to apply for a parking permit. You can also renew, cancel or change license plates here.
For a resident or business parking permit, you must meet a number of conditions. A street parking permit is available to everyone.
For residents
From 27 March 2023, the number of spaces available for a residents' parking permit will be limited. However, you do have the option of being placed on a waiting list. You do this by logging in with your DigiD and starting the application. You will automatically be given the option 'place application on waiting list' during the application.
You are eligible for a residents' parking permit if you meet a number of conditions.
You must be registered at the address for which you wish to apply for a permit.
The registration number of the vehicle must be in your name.
Only one parking permit is possible per address.
Your address must not allow parking on private property.
Your address determines which sub-area you qualify for.

For businesses
You are eligible for a business parking permit if you meet a number of conditions.
Your company must be registered with the Chamber of Commerce at the location for which you are applying for a parking permit.
Only one parking permit can be issued per company.
There must be no on-site parking at your business.
Your address determines which sub-area you qualify for.

Street parking permit
If you do not live or your business is not located in one of the subareas, a street parking permit is a more economical option than the daily parking rate.

Apply, renew, cancel or change registration number
You can easily arrange this yourself via this link: Apply online with DigiD.
If you terminate your parking permit prematurely, you will receive a refund of the full month(s) you paid in advance.
For residents
A resident parking permit costs €13,80 per month (rate 2023).
When applying for your parking permit, you have the choice of paying per calendar quarter or year. This payment is made via iDeal.
For companies
A parking permit for companies costs €82,60 per month (rate 2023).
When applying for your parking permit, you can choose to pay per calendar quarter or per year. This payment is made via iDeal.
Street parking
A permit for street parking costs € 82,60 per month (rate 2023).
When you apply for your parking permit, you can choose to pay per calendar quarter or per year. This payment is made via iDeal.
The municipality will decide on your application within 6 weeks of receipt. This period may be extended once by 4 weeks. In many cases, you will receive the decision on your application earlier than 6 weeks.
You can object to the decision on your application. Do this within 6 weeks. Do you then disagree with the decision on the objection? Then file an appeal with the court.
