Municipality of Gouda: applying for a parking permit

Do you live in or around the city centre, Kort Haarlem or Korte Akkeren? If so, you can apply for a parking permit through ParkeerService. In some cases, you may not be eligible for a parking permit.

To apply for a resident parking permit, you must meet the following conditions:

  • You live in a paid parking area. Your address in the Personal Records Database (BRP) must match your actual place of residence.
  • Your residential address determines whether you are eligible for a permit and, if so, how many.
    • In most areas, you can apply for up to 2 resident parking permits.
    • In the city centre, you can only get 1 parking permit per address. You can choose from a resident permit, a city center resident parking lot permit, or a city centre resident station garage permit. You may only apply for 1 of these.
    • In Kort Haarlem and Korte Akkeren, it is sometimes possible to apply for up to 3 resident permits.
  • The vehicle must be registered in your name.
    • In some cases, a second license plate can be added to the permit. You must be able to prove that a resident at your address uses the second vehicle.
    • If you drive a lease or company car, you must provide a copy of the lease contract showing your name, or a declaration from the vehicle owner (the company or leasing firm) stating that you are the sole user of the car.
  • Your vehicle, including its load, must not exceed 6 metres in length and/or 2.80 metres in height.

Some addresses are not eligible for a permit. There are various reasons for this.

On the parking permit map, you can check your address to see if you can apply for a permit:

  • Addresses marked with a green dot are eligible.
  • Addresses with an orange dot can receive a maximum of 1 permit in Nieuwe Park and Gouda Noord. In Kort Haarlem and Korte Akkeren, a maximum of 2 permits is possible for orange dots.
  • Addresses with a red dot are not eligible for a permit. You can also click on a dot to read this information (in Dutch).
