Municipality of Bergeijk: applying for a new passport or renewing your old one

Business Passport

If you travel often (for work, for example), you can apply for a business passport. This is a normal passport, but has 2 times as many pages for stamps.

Second Passport

You can apply for a second passport if you:

• travel to different countries for which you need to apply for a visa
• visiting countries that are in conflict with each other

If you want to apply for a second passport, the following conditions apply:

• Your current passport is still valid for at least 6 months
• You can prove that you need the second passport

• A matching color passport photo is not older than 6 months at the time of application and meets the passport photo requirements.
• All passports and identity cards you still have, even if they have expired.
• If you apply for a second passport, please bring proof that you need the second passport.
• If your passport is lost or stolen abroad, take the foreign police report with you.
• Debit card or money. You pay directly with the application.

Children up to 18 years

• Written consent from both parents or from the person who has custody of the child. Use the municipality's form for this. You can also both sign the application at the town hall, so you do not need to bring a completed form with you.
• (Copy of) the proof of identity of both parents or of the person who has custody of the child.
• Children must be present themselves at the application and when collecting their passport.
• At least one parent or guardian must be present at the time of application.
• A close-fitting color passport photo that is not older than 6 months at the time of application and meets the passport photo requirements.
• All passports and identity cards that you still have of your child, even if they have expired.
• Debit card or money. You pay directly with the application.

You must apply for a passport in person at the municipality where you live. Make an appointment to apply for a passport.

Make an appointment

You pay costs for applying for a passport. Look for the costs on the website of the municipality of Bergeijk.

After five working days you can collect your passport in person without an appointment. This also applies to children up to the age of 18.This also applies to children up to the age of 18. 

You have 3 months in which to collect your new passport.

Do you need your passport sooner than that?

• If you need your passport quickly, you can make a spoedaanvraag (urgent request). If you apply for the passport before 14:00, you will be able to collect it the next working day. Allow for some delay if you no longer have your old passport.
• If you need the passport today, contact the Koninklijke Marechaussee (Royal Netherlands Marechaussee) for an emergency passport.

Validity

• An adult passport is valid for 10 years.
• For children up to the age of 18, a passport is valid for 5 years.
