Province of Groningen: applying for a permit for construction near a provincial road
If you wish to build or work on, over or under a roadway, you must first check who the owner of this roadway is. Public roads may be under the province’s management. You must then apply to the province for a permit or exemption. Such construction works and activities include bridges, viaducts, cables, a driveway or an event. An example of such an event is a cycling event.
You apply to the province for the permit or exemption.
The conditions include:
- The roadway is managed by the province.
- Your construction work or activity does not present a risk to traffic.
