Municipality of Vlissingen: applying for an EU parking card for people with disabilities

Do you have a disability with a permanent or progressive nature? Then you may be eligible for a disabled parking card under certain conditions. This is arranged in the Road Traffic legislation.
There are 3 types of (European) Disabled Parking Cards: a driver's card, a passenger card, and an institution card. See the webpage Gehandicaptenparkeerkaart | Gemeente Vlissingen for more information.

A European disabled parking card is valid for a maximum of 5 years;
The card is only valid for you. You cannot lend it to others;
You may only park in the municipality of Vlissingen using the disabled parking card in the permit holder area (maximum 3 hours). You must clearly display your card and the 'blue time disc' behind your windshield.
This also applies to parking in a general disabled parking space within the area of validity. If you park at parking meter spaces, you may park there for free with the disabled parking card.
