Municipality of Groningen: applying for an EU parking card for people with disabilities

Conditions

• You are registered with the municipality of Groningen
• .You have a physical disability:
  • You cannot walk 100 meters. Not even with a walker. Nor with pain and difficulty. This has been the case for at least 6 months.
  • Or you are permanently in a wheelchair. 
  • Or you have other serious disabilities.
• For driver: You have a valid driver's license.
• For passenger: You are completely dependent on a driver. Can you reach your destination unaccompanied by the driver? Then you will not receive a disabled parking permit.

Meenemen

• Valid proof of identity (driver's license when applying for/renewing a driver's license).
• Passport photo that meets the  requirements.
• Debit card. At counter Kreupelstraat you can also pay in cash.

Applying at the counter

Go to the Parking desk by appointment. You can also call 14050 (short number).

The municipality will make a decision no later than 8 weeks after your application. You will receive a letter about this at home.

Does the letter state that you are entitled to a disabled parking permit? Then stop by one of the counters.
