Municipality of Gemert-Bakel: applying for an EU parking card for people with disabilities
Please note: You can only apply for an EU parking card for people with disabilities if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
- Contact the municipality to indicate that you want to apply for the card.
- A consultant will ask you questions about your health and the obstacles you experience. It is also possible that an appointment is made for a meeting at your home.
- You will receive the application form and return it completed. You must also be medically examined by a doctor. The municipality determines which doctor/agency will carry out this examination. Even if you apply for an extension of your disabled parking card, a medical examination is occasionally required.
- After your application has been processed, you will receive a letter (decision) from your municipality. This decision states the grounds on which you receive or do not receive a disabled parking permit. It also tells you whether you are eligible for a card for a driver and/or passenger and how long the card is valid.
You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality.
