Municipality of De Bilt: applying for an EU parking card for people with disabilities
Do you have a condition or disability that prevents you from walking further than 100 meters? Then you may be eligible for a disabled parking permit (GPK) driver or passenger.
You are eligible for the disabled person's parking card if you are the driver of a car.
You are eligible for a "disabled person's parking card (GPK) passenger" if you are continuously dependent on the assistance of a driver for your door-to-door transport.
A GPK allows you to park in all general disabled parking spaces. You can only park in special disabled parking spaces if you have a disabled parking permit.
An initial application for a disabled parking permit always includes a medical examination by an independent medical examiner appointed by the municipality. The period of validity of the disabled parking permit (GPK) is up to five years.
