Municipality of Amstelveen: applying for an EU parking card for people with disabilities
You can apply for a European Parking Card for people with disabilities (disabled person’s parking card) online with your DigiD. Please note: you can only apply for a disabled person’s parking card if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

If you do not have a DigiD, you can also visit the Town Hall. You will need to call the municipality to make an appointment in advance: +31 20 540 49 11.
- your DigiD;
- a valid passport or identity card;
- a copy of your vehicle registration certificate;
- a copy of the lease contract (if you have a lease car).
You pay costs for a medical examination and the assigned disabled person’s parking card. For more information, please see the municipality’s website.
After your application, the municipality will assess whether a medical examination is necessary and we will inform you of the costs. After payment, we will ask an inspection body for advice.
You will receive a letter with the outcome. We will do our best to make a decision within 8 weeks. We may extend this period once by 8 weeks.
