Municipality of Groningen: applying for a disabled parking space
Do you have a disabled driver's parking permit? Then you can apply for a private disabled parking space (GPP) on the public road. This may be a parking space near your home or work.
You must comply with these rules if you want to apply for a handicapped parking space.
Person
- The license plate of the car is in your name. Or in the name of a roommate.
- You live at the address for which you are applying for the parking space.
- Your driver's license is still valid for at least 6 months.
- Your disabled driver's parking permit is still valid for at least 6 months.
Location
- You do not have your own parking space at your home. For example, a driveway, garage with driveway, a garage box or a private parking space on your own property.
- There are already parking spaces on your street, but they are usually occupied.
- There is no garage or parking lot near your apartment or nursing home.
- You do not live in a car-free zone.
More conditions
- Do you live in an area with paid parking? If so, you also need a resident parking permit.
- Do you have a leased or company car? If so, please include a statement from your employer.
- Do you want a parking space near your work? Then your employer must request this from us.
