Municipality of Den Helder: applying for a disabled parking space

You can apply for a disabled parking space on a license plate if you meet the following conditions:

• You have a valid driver's license
• Your motor vehicle is registered at your home address
• You do not have your own parking space, such as a garage or driveway
• You have a European disabled parking card
• You have a registration certificate

You will need the following when requesting the parking space:

• A copy of the front of your driver's license. Tip: you can make a safe copy with the KopieID app.
• A copy of the front of your disabled parking card
• A copy of the back of your disabled parking card
• If you request a new parking space or report a move: a copy of your vehicle's registration certificate. Tip: you can make a safe copy with the KopieID app.

Arrange directly with DigiD (in Dutch)

Do you not have DigiD or eHerkenning? Then you can also arrange this directly without logging in (in Dutch).

To cancel

Do you no longer need your disabled parking space? Or is a parking space in your area no longer used? You can easily submit a request online to remove a disabled parking space (in Dutch).

• Request disabled parking (for processing the application): € 550,25
• Moving disabled parking space: € 417,45
• Have your license plate changed: € 157,55

Do you not have sufficient income to pay the costs? Then you may be able to apply for special assistance for this (in Dutch).
