Municipality of Vlissingen: applying for a copy of a birth certificate

A birth certificate is a written proof of your birth and the registration of your birth with the Civil Registry. You can request an original copy or an (international) extract of it.

Digitally

The transcript or extract of the birth certificate can only be requested from the municipality where you were born;
If you request an extract, you must indicate the purpose for which you need the extract;
The original transcript of the certificate is only available in Dutch. If you need a transcript of the certificate in another language, you must have the certificate translated yourself by a sworn interpreter or translator.
