Were you born in the Netherlands? Do you live in the Netherlands and have a DigiD? If so, you can apply for your birth certificate online. You can also use your DigiD to apply for your birth certificate from outside the Netherlands.

You can apply for your birth certificate at the service desk of your municipality IJsselstein. Take a valid identity document with you. Make an appointment.

Applying from outside the Netherlands

No DigiD? You can also authorise someone to apply for the birth certificate for you at the service desk.

A birth certificate costs: € 17,10.

Applying in the Netherlands

You will receive the birth certificate by post within 3 working days.
