Do you live in the Netherlands and have a DigiD? Then you can request your birth certificate online. You can also apply for your birth certificate from abroad using your DigiD.

Applying at the service desk

You can request your birth certificate at the desk of the municipality of Houten. Bring valid proof of identity with you. Make an appointment.

A birth certificate costs: € 15,70.

Applying in the Netherlands

You will receive the birth certificate by post after no more than 5 working days.

Applying from outside the Netherlands

The municipality will send the birth certificate to your address outside the Netherlands within 1 week. The time taken by the postal service varies from country to country.
