Municipality of Hoogeveen: applying for a copy of a birth certificate
If you apply for the birth certificate at the service desk in the town hall, please bring:
- Your valid proof of identity (ID card, passport or driver's license)
- Are you requesting the birth certificate for someone else? Then please also bring a written authorization and proof of identity of this person
Applying online
Were you born in the Netherlands? Do you live in the Netherlands and have a DigiD? If so, you can apply for your birth certificate online. You can also use your DigiD to apply for your birth certificate from outside the Netherlands.
Applying at the service desk
You can apply for your birth certificate at the service desk of your municipality: Raadhuisplein 24, Hoogeveen. Take a valid proof of identity with you.

If you apply for the birth certificate online with your DigiD, it will be sent to your home address within 5 business days. If you request the birth certificate at the service desk, the employee will prepare the certificate while you wait.
