Municipality of Hilvarenbeek: applying for a copy of a birth certificate

If you submit an application at the counter of the town hall, please bring:

• A valid ID
• A debit card
• Are you requesting the extract for someone else? Please also bring the completed and signed authorization form with you. Also bring an ID of that person.

Were you born in the Netherlands? Do you live in the Netherlands and have a DigiD? If so, you can apply for your birth certificate online. You can also use your DigiD to apply for your birth certificate from outside the Netherlands.

4Applying in the Netherlands

You will receive the birth certificate by post after no more than 5 working days.

Applying from outside the Netherlands

The municipality will send the birth certificate to your address outside the Netherlands within 4 weeks. The time taken by the postal service varies from country to country.
