No DigiD? You can also authorise someone to apply for the birth certificate for you at the service desk.
Alternatively, you can apply for your birth certificate by post:
- Send a letter to: Gemeente Deurne, Postbus 3, 5750 AA Deurne.
- In the letter, state your year of birth, name, address and what you need the certificate for.
- Sign the letter. Attach a copy of your valid identity document.

You will receive the birth certificate by post after no more than 5 working days.
Applying from outside the Netherlands
The municipality will send the birth certificate to your address outside the Netherlands within 5 working days (after receiving the costs) . The time taken by the postal service varies from country to country.
