Municipality of Hollands Kroon: applying to collect a driving licence
Please note: you can only apply for a driving licence if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
You apply for your driving licence in person at the municipality where you live and are registered. You must make an appointment to do this.
In some cases you can also apply for your driving licence online. You will then be able to collect the new driving licence from the service desk after just 2 working days. You submit the application via the RDW website. Visit the RDW website to find out how to apply for a driving licence online (in Dutch).
You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality Hollands Kroon.
After we have visited your home and completed the application, the document will be prepared. The average delivery time for a driver's license is ten business days. Your document will be delivered free of charge to your home, work, or any address of your choice in the Netherlands, except for the Wadden Islands. You must be present when the driver's license is delivered.
Urgent Driver's License Application
Do you need your driver's license sooner? You can apply for an urgent driver's license. Make an appointment by calling 088-321 5000. If you apply before 12:00 PM, you can usually pick it up the next business day at the public counter.
