Municipality of Hof van Twente: applying to collect a driving licence

You must always bring a recent passport-style photo (in color, no more than 6 months old) that meets national requirements to your appointment. In some cases, we require additional documents:

• When applying for your first driving licence, bring a valid form of identification.
• When renewing your driving licence, bring your current driving licence.
• In the event of loss or theft, bring a valid form of identification.
• Has your driving licence expired? If so, bring the expired driving licence and a valid form of identification.

You apply for your driving licence in person at the municipality where you live and are registered. You can make an appointment for this via the link below:

In some cases you can also apply for your driving licence online. You will then be able to collect the new driving licence from the service desk after just 2 working days. You submit the application via the RDW website. Visit the RDW website to find out how to apply for a driving licence online (in Dutch).

Check the website for current costs:

After around a week, you can collect your driving licence from the municipality in person.

Do you need it sooner than that?

If you need your driving licence urgently, you can make an urgent request. If you apply for the driving licence before 2pm, you will be able to collect it the next working day. You have to pay an extra fee for an urgent request.
