Municipality of De Wolden: applying to collect a driving licence

You apply for your driving license in person at the municipality where you live and are registered. You can make an appointment online.

You can also renew your driving license online. You will receive your new driving license at the counter within 2 working days. You submit the application via the RDW website. You can find out how to apply for an online driving license on the RDW website.

Health statement

When you apply for a driver's license, you sometimes have to fill in a health declaration. You can request the Health Declaration yourself online at the CBR or at the municipal counter.

An extra category

Have you gained an extra category on your driving license? Then you must have your driver's license renewed.

You pay a fee for applying for an extra drivers licence. For more information contact your municipality:  +31528378200 or gemeente@dewolden.nl .

After 5 working days, you can collect your driving licence from the municipality in person: Raadhuisstraat 2, Zuidwolde.

Do you need it sooner than that?

If you need your driving licence urgently, you can apply for an urgent request. If you apply for the driving licence before 13.30, you will be able to collect it the next working day. You have to pay an extra fee for an urgent request.

How long is your drivers licence valid?

• Under 65 years of age: valid for 10 years.
• Between 65 and 70 years of age: valid until your 75th birthday.
• Between 70 and 75 years of age: valid for 5 years.
• Over 75 years of age: valid for a maximum of 5 years.
